Chemistry is a science that deals with properties of substances and changes they undergo and the natural laws that governs these changes. In modern industrial society it is the foundation of economy and key to many of the solutions for the problems facing us today.
The Department has undergraduate programme in Chemistry with the enrolment of about 400 students. It is a dynamic growing department with faculty dedicated to providing quality education through innovative programmes through STAR college scheme.
It has three well equipped laboratories possessing chemicals, reagents, glassware and good instrumental facilities for performing experiments and characterization of different compounds. The department has various good books for its students in its library.
