RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CELL(R&D)

Research is the backbone of academics. For encouraging and promoting research, Government College Sanjauli has research and development cell. R&D cell aims to nurture research culture in the college by promoting research in newly emerging and challenging areas of Science , Humanities and Commerce. Societal challenges of our country can only be addressed by having a strong and vibrant higher education ecosystem with an emphasis on research, innovation and technology development. The Research development cell in HEI’s is an effort to realise the targets of atma Nirbhar Bharat which is pivotal ton promote research culture as mandated in NEP 2020.

Policy for Research Promotion and Faculty Development

Vision

To put in place a robust mechanism for developing and strengthening the research ecosystem within institute, aligned with the provisions of NEP-2020.

Mission:

  • To create a conducive environment for enhanced research productivity.
  • To encourage collaboration across industry, government, community- based organizations, and agencies at the local, national, and international levels.
  • To facilitate greater access to research through mobilization of resources and funding.

Objectives:

  • Develop an organizational structure with role-based functions for RDC, create research policies for institute, identify research thrust areas, and establish cluster groups/frontline teams/consortia of researchers/ teachers.
  • Establish enabling provisions in research policies for procuring equipment, and managing finances with adequate autonomy for Principal Investigators to disseminate research outcomes to stakeholders and the public.
  • Create a special purpose vehicle to promote researchers and innovators, identify potential collaborators from industry, research organizations, academic institutions & other stakeholders for cooperation and synergistic partnerships.
  • Act as a liaison between researchers and relevant research funding agencies, extend guidance in preparation & submission of project proposal.
  • Improve coordination among other cells/centres dealing with College- Industry Inter Linkage, Incubation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
  • Develop an Institutional Research Information System for sharing the status of ongoing/completed research projects/Programmes, expertise & resources, etc., making effective use of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) for preparing the database of in-house experts to provide industrial consultancy and services.

    Functions:
    • Approve proposals of the Committees
    • Approve annual budget of the Cell
    • Perform such other functions as may be necessary and deemed fit for the proper research and development of the College
    • To identify thrust areas of research
    • To establish Center of Excellence
    • To develop research policies.
